Chris Botti is an American jazz trumpeter and composer. He won a Grammy Award in 2013.
His mother, Shirley Louise (Stewart), is a pianist, and his father, Lido Botti, is an Italian teacher.
Chris’s paternal grandparents were Severino Botti and Livia/Lidia M. They were both born in Montevarchi, Province of Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy, and immigrated in 1922.
Chris’s maternal grandfather was Warren C. Stewart (the son of John Franklin Stewart and Ella Frances Collins). Ella was the daughter of Henry Edward Collins and Nancy Catherine Hubbard.
Chris’s maternal grandmother was Kathleen Stewart (the daughter of Melville Clifford Stewart and Kate/Katie/Katherine Pearl Groesbeck/Grosbeck).
